How Are Warrior Film Promotions Involved?

You, Me & Him, (formally Fish Without Bicycles) is the second film that Warrior Film Promotions have funded for this studio. The first one was called Mad To Be Normal starring David Tennant, Sir Michael Gambon, and Gabriel Byrne. Warrior raised 50% of the budget and the film is about to go on general release at the end of this year.

We are delighted to be invited to raise finances for their next movie. Warrior simply promote the idea of raising the budget for the film. All funds go directly to the studio’s SPV. Warrior Film Promotions continue to to assist you throughout the investment period with updates, advice and a human being to talk to you should you have any questions at all.

Transparency – How Do I Know I Am receiving My Fair Share?

Funds are collected and distributed by a ‘Collection Agent’. The collection agent is a third party company specialising in the collection of funds from the sale of the film. Nowadays many independent film productions work with collection agents in order to install peace of mind with their investors. The collections agent will supply a clear statement of funds, three months in arrears to all investors involved in the film.

Is My Money Safe?

YES. Your funds are sent directly to an S.P.V. that is managed by the studio. S.P.V. stands for Special Purpose Vehicle. This is a British Limited Company that’s sole purpose is to control and distribute all funds from the sale of the film. The primary reason for this process is to isolate all funds from the sale of Fish Without Bicycles from any other films or projects that the studio is working on. All funds from the sale of the film will arrive directly into the bank account of the S.P.V.

This ring fences all profits against any potential issues or problems the studio may face. Whatever were to happen to the studio in the future, your investment is safe and protected within the S.P.V.

How Do I know The Film Will Be Made?

In short – YES. A completion guarantee (sometimes referred to as a completion bond) is in place with Fish Without Bicycles. This is a form of insurance offered by a completion guarantor company that is often used in independently financed films to guarantee that the producer will complete and deliver the film. You can be safe in the knowledge that this film will most certainly be made.

How Are My Profits Distributed?

As you can imagine, this is one of the most popular questions we receive. The returns from the film are distributed to investors as and when the film is sold. If you are a SEIS / EIS investor the funds will be allocated to the SIES / EIS account and be available to you at the end of the investment term. However, if you are investing as a Equity investor then returns will arrive into your account approximately four weeks after they hit the studios account.

Who Buys The Film?

The sale of the film is handled by the Sales Agent and there are a range of markets that the sales agent will be approaching regarding the promotion and sale of Fish Without Bicycles. A rough guideline to the primary 5 markets are as follows:

  1. Theatrical Sales – Cinema Sales
  2. Auxiliary Sales – Airlines, Hotels etcetera
  3. VOD (Video On Demand, iTune, Netflix etc) – Downloads
  4. DVD – This is still a strong market place.
  5. Terrestrial Sales (Television) – The film will be sold to TV Broadcasters around the world. TV gives investors an ongoing return as the film can be continuously sold for as long as it is popular.

When Will Returns Begin

You can expect to receive a large majority of the forecasted returns within the first 18 to 24 months placing you in a position of profit.
